Reminder — Ice-Cream Day
Ice-Cream Day for Down Syndrome Ireland takes place this Friday, 4th June here in school. While there is no obligation to pay, we would appreciate a donation of €2. This money will help provide extra support for children/adults with Down Syndrome.
First Class School Tour
First Classes will go on their school tour to Limerick on Friday 25th June. They will need to be in school on time as the bus will be leaving at 9.10. They will be back on time to be picked up at 2.45. Please ensure that each child has a healthy packed lunch and also something to eat for sos They will also need two drinks as they will have a very active day! All pupils must wear school tracksuit and will need a raincoat—just in case! Money, cameras, toys etc can be left at home! If you have any queries, please talk to your class teacher. More details nearer the day. We hope that they have a great tour!
Bike Day
Bike Day will be celebrated in Ennis on Wednesday 16th June. While we acknowledge that our children are very young, we would encourage as many as possible to cycle to school on that day with their parents. If you have any queries, please contact the Principal.
Induction Day for new Junior Infants
On Thursday , June 17th, we welcome our new Junior Infants to school. They will spend an hour with their teacher (from 11.15 to 12.15) and meet their classmates for the coming year. More details will be sent to parents next week.
HSCL Retirement
Our shared HSCL teacher, Carmel Flannery, is retiring at the end of this month. We thank her for all her work with us and we wish her a happy and long retirement.
Sports Day
Our annual Sports Day will take place on Friday 11th June, weather permitting. Activities will begin at 9.30 and end at 12.00 when pupils will return to their classes to receive their medals. You are more than welcome to join in the fun for the day and we hope that as many parents as possible can join us. Children are free to go home at 12.30.
Raffle for shoes!
A generous donor has given us a voucher for a local shoe shop. We intend to sell raffle tickets for €1 each to raise funds for new books for our school. There will be two winners and they will go with their classes and parents to pick out their new shoes!

A sincere thank you to all who have contributed in any way to our busy school life over the last year. We cannot emphasise enough the importance of the role that you, the parents play in the education of your children. It has been a pleasure sharing this journey with you this year and we look forward to continuing this work with you and your child next year. A special word of gratitude to the parents of our pupils who are leaving us. We hope that your memories of our school will be fond ones and we wish you and your families all the best for the future.
